Lubex Mould Oil RT 11

Description

The Lubex Mould Oil RT 11 is a compounded oil, designed for a universal tools oil for all types of moulds – steel, wood, etc. If desired, it can be diluted with small quantities of kero/distillate. It can be applied by spray, brush or a swab. For some surfaces, application by using a roller is the preferred method.

Note:

• Forms and moulds should be clean and reasonably dry for each pour and should be coated before the reinforcing steel is put in place.
• If the reinforcing steel is accidentally coated with the Lubex Mould Oil RT 11, the steel will not bond to the concrete. The Lubex Mould Oil RT 11 on the reinforcing steel should be removed with kero or petroleum solvents.
• It is desirable that a fairly light coating be applied as a heavy coating allows the excess to run-off and collect in the corners of the mould or any other niches, this run-off will permeate the concrete.
• In large scale production, it is recommended that a spray method be used to apply the oil. When using a spray system to apply, the spray lines must be regularly blown out and it is advised that moisture traps be placed in the lines.
