Description
Lubex Heat Transfer Oils are a range of highly refined mineral oils that provide superior performance in enclosed circulated indirect heat transfer systems for industrial process industry, chemical plants & textile manufacturing where bulk oil constant temperatures can reach 300°C They are blended from selected base stocks that are resistant to thermal cracking, degradation and chemical oxidation.
Lubex Heat Transfer Oils can be used in open systems to 160°C, where oil fuming can present problems and are suitable up to 300°C in fully enclosed circulated systems. They are non corrosive and have an inherent high solvency that prevents deposit formation, sludge and varnish which maintains clean internal surfaces of heat exchangers for the most efficient transfer of heat. These oils provide an extremely long service life due to the thermally stable nature of the base oil and additives and they maintain original viscosity for correct pumpability and flow characteristics.
Lubex Heat Transfer Oils have a low vapor pressure and resist thermal cracking which in turn minimizes volatile decomposition products and helps maintain the high flash point over full-service duration.

Directions for use:
- Lubex Heat Transfer Oils should not be mixed with other oils as this can affect the performance and thermal properties of the oil.
- Forced circulation is required to prevent localized hot spot issues that will overheat the oil beyond its design temperature.
- Convection circulation systems and open systems without circulation pumps should not be heated above 160°C
- Always follow the equipment manufacturers oil viscosity recommendations.
- Oil condition monitoring should be performed periodically to determine acidity, viscosity, and flash point changes.
